Treatment of Base of Tongue Cancer With Paclitaxel, Ifosfamide, and Cisplatinum Induction Chemotherapy Followed by Chemoradiotherapy
UL https://suche.suub.uni-bremen.de/peid=cr-10.1097_mlg.0b013e318175336a&Exemplar=1&LAN=DE A1 Hancock, Samuel Brandon A1 Krempl, Greg A. A1 Canfield, Vikki A1 Bogardus, Carl A1 Kojouri, Kiarash A1 Kaneaster, S K. A1 Medina, Jesus E. A1 The efficacy of paclitaxel, ifosfamide, and cisplatinum as neoadjuvant chemotherapy followed by concurrent radiation with weekly Taxol and carboplatin is reported in 18 patients. A complete response was observed in 17 patients. At a medium follow-up of 29.6 months, there was no evidence of local regional recurrence while one patient developed distant metasteses. Permanent PEG tubes were required in 3 patients. Toxicity did not preclude completion of therapy in this cohort.
